WIRELESS PARRY SOUND The Wireless Parry Sound project started in 2003 by Zeuter Development Corporation now covers hundreds of square miles across West Parry Sound District. Internet Cafe style WiFi Internet is available in the Town of Parry Sound down Bay Street from the Trestle Bridge to the Town Docks and along Bowes Street from Forest Street to Pine Drive. If you did not bring your computer with you, drop by Zeuter's 1 Louisa Street location and take advantage of their Virtual Office services to check your email or catch up on office work. Zeuter also offers Dialup Internet across Canada and the United States including Hawaii and Alaska. If you have a more permanent local address, call Zeuter about DSL, Cable Internet or Wireless Internet Services. LOG CABIN INN - BACK IN BUSINESS The fall of 2007 saw the destruction of one of the most popular local haunts, Log Cabin Inn, which burned to the ground. Thankfully, Innkeeper Kathy Dalrymple is now back on her feet. Rebuilding began in March of 2008 and was completed in August. Let's show our support to the loyal staff of Log Cabin Inn that waits for our return. For reservations and directions, call Log Cabin Inn at 746-7122.

PARRY SOUND PETS Since the Humane Society left Parry Sound abruptly several years ago, the Town has been in a quandary over what to do about lost and found animals. Although the Town has temporary shelter for dogs, there is still no shelter for cats. Fortunately, a local business has come to the rescue - Parry Sound Pets! Now lost and found animals can be posted on the website www.ParrySoundPets.com for free. Please do spay or neuter your dogs and cats. Care for your animals. They will return your love a thousand fold. In an emergency, call 746-2413 for Animal Control.

BOATING SAFETY Anxious to get the boat into the water after a long winter? Please keep in mind to have a life jacket for all passengers. Carry a First Aid Kit and waterproof matches just in case. Make sure your boat is water-ready and well-maintained. Even for short day trips, make sure someone knows where you are going and when you expect to return. No smoking while refueling. Fill tank only 90% to allow for expansion. Give other boaters, swimmers and divers extra room. Watch for submerged rocks. Obey the "rules of the road" and keep to the right. Remember that alcohol and boating do not mix.
